How to Shut Off Your Water Main in an Emergency

Where to Find Your Main Water Shutoff

In most Panama City homes, the main shutoff valve is in one of three locations:

• Front of the house near the street: Look for a concrete or plastic meter box in the ground near the curb. The valve is typically a gate valve (round handle) or ball valve (lever handle) on the house side of the meter.

How to Shut It Off
